I have no complaints about the hull redesign. The previous color scheme was low contrast, low saturation, bland and inoffensive. The new color scheme brightens things up a bit, it works for me.

Removing the gate model from the scene is a step along the path toward a less intrusive gate jump process. The forced camera takeover being the worst part of it, when repeated over and over and over again. I'm cool with fade-to-black, really.
